Scoring Runs in a Baseball Game
Posted By Diego | MLB News | March 2, 2011, 04:17 AM |
Form a team in a baseball game there should be 9 players in each team. The only aim of this bat and ball game is scoring more runs than opponent team. There are four bases kept at each corner of the diamond or square shaped 90 feet field.
To score runs the batter need to hit the ball and run to the base before players of the opposite team reach the ball to the base, in which case the batter will be declared out. The players after hitting the ball are required to run in circular paths covering the four bases counterclockwise such that he covers the 1st, 2nd, 3rd base and is finally back home to where he began running from. One such whole circle only is considered as one run.
